My Life

I don’t just run and work in nursing at a hospital.

Ok. Yep I pretty much just run and work in nursing at a hospital.

BUT…I do have other things in life that are special to me.

And in no particular order…here ya go…

My FABULOUS and WONDERFUL hubby, Chris. :) We got married back in July of 2006. He is the best thing that’s ever happened to me. He’s not a runner, but a golfer. He actually got me out on the driving range a few times this past summer. We watch PGA tourneys all spring, summer and fall on weekends. I’m mildly obsessed with watching golf. Currently he works in surgery at another local hospital full-time, and he is my biggest fan and all-time best race spectator on the planet! :)

My oldest, Murphy. He’s a purebred shih tzu and we’ve had our little dude since he was only 9 weeks old and fit in the palm of my hand! Now he’s a whopping 8 lbs and is 5 years old. He’s my best buddy and I would do anything for my little pupper. Although he hates people. HA!

This is my youngest, Sampson, a 3-year-old domestic short hair tabby cat that we adopted from the humane society in April of 2010. He and Murphy literally fight like brothers, but at the end of the day, they’re best buds. Life has been quite the adjustment having both a dog AND a cat, but we love our Sammy lots and I’m so glad we adopted him into our little family. He’s very naughty, though.

My bestie, Alison. We met on our local board/forum on a website called thenest.com. Alison is the one I blame for all of this as it was her running/racing that inspired me to start running. We are so alike it’s scary. We both play flute, we both work pretty much the same job at different hospitals, we have very similar family backgrounds, and we both love to run! I’m so glad to have her in my life! This was taken at my very first 5K race on Halloween 2010. I’m on the right, Alison is on the left.

I have a mad obsession for Starbucks sugar-free vanilla/or cinnamon dolce breve lattes. I could drink them every single day and never grow tired of it. I’m OBSESSED with all things Starbucks.

I LOOOOOOOOOVE my “new to me” 2009 silver Corolla LE!! :) I got it for my 31st birthday. “Carlita the Corolla” is my best friend out there on the road. I love to zip around in her!

Very cool page! How exciting your Hubby is going to be a Surgeon! I work for a Surgeon and his wife is also a Surgeon- I have no idea how they manage, but they do!
